We lost our joy

On August 25th my wife called me at home from the hospital, Jackie had been admitted to the hospital 3 days prior for a pain in her stomach. On the phone Jackie said she was having extreme pains and the nurses told her she was going into pre-labor and we could loose joy. I called for friends to come my home and watch over our children while I rushed to the hospital. When I arrived at the hospital Jackie was fully dilated and the nurses were trying to give Jackie pain medication. At 9:00 Joy was delivered and she died at 9:45pm. This was the most difficult episode of our lives to go through but we are working together through it. we covet your prayers.

In pain

I'm posting from the triage Jackie was In pain last night. Jackie says her lower stomach is hurting. The nurse has been in and the doctors are checking her out. I don't think it's anything serious. One of the nurses suggested it my be round ligament. So here we sit with I V in arm and time moving slow. 

check up / shower planning

Today my wife went in for a doctors appointment. The doctor says all is well with the baby, the only thing that was alarming was that My wife has lost 10 pounds, not good. The weight lost has to be due to the nausea she is constantly throwing up. (any recommendations?) we appreciate all suggestions.

Its time to start to plan for the baby shower. In the past the friends that have volunteered to handle the shower did a great job, and we thank them all, but since this is the last baby were are planning to have I decided to over see the planning and organisation just to be sure, my wife is not stressed out by it, and so she is totally satisfied the day of the shower. Location location location this is the first  secrete to planning a successful event. I have 3 locations set up for her to approve, and we are going to see one today. One of my wife's friends has volunteered to organise the shower, so I am meeting with her and I have drafted another friend of the family to help out, and I am planning a vision casting meeting with all involved for the end of this month. The shower date is December 7, 2013 I want to invite men to the shower because I will be their and I don't want to be the only man in attendance. Any suggestions on things for men to do at a bay shower????

pregnacy life

My wife of 13 years is pregnant for the 3rd time. We are so excited we learned on August 8,2013 that the baby is a girl!!!! My wife and I presently have 2 boys DJ And Jonathan, 7 and 2 years old.

The first trimester was hard on Jackie she had a lot of morning sickness and cramps. We are now in the 2nd trimester and the nausea is still persisting. There are lots of extra work around the house I have to pick up because she is tired and ready for bed after work. So I do laundry, feed the kids, clean the house, and keep up the yard cut. Maintaining our lives was a team effort but now its a one man show. How does that make me feel? Sometimes I complain and fuss, but then I remember that she is not functioning at full capacity and Jackie reminds me that men don't know what it feels like to have someone growing inside you and she is right.

I have changed my attitude toward the extra responsibilities around the house and in our life. I have a servants heart and it is my pleasure to serve my family, cleaning is serving, laundry is serving,cooking is serving, this is my reasonable service to those who call me father. My wife has made my life a wonderfully adventure by filling it with our children, and to show my appreciation I will not complain but serve with a cheerful heart! August 13,2013 photo to follow.'
